EMG-NCV Tests
An EMG/NCV is performed to evaluate muscles and nerve function in your arms and/or legs. In addition, it helps localize where your problem is coming from. The symptoms you are experiencing might include numbness, tingling, pain, weakness or muscle cramping.
The test has 2 parts:
Part 1: Nerve Conduction Velocity Studies (NCV) takes approximately 30 minutes to perform. - 
Part 2: Electromyography (EMG) typically lasts 15 minutes. -
