Jami is a surgery scheduler for Dr. Sliva and Dr. Behr. She joined Rockford Spine Center in April 2004 and has 21 years of experience in the medical field. In this role, Jami is responsible for making all of the arrangements for upcoming surgeries including obtaining preauthorization from insurance companies, verifying patient eligibility and coverage, discussing pre-operative instructions with patients, and scheduling all tests and operating room time according to physician protocols.

Prior to joining Rockford Spine Center, Jami held Medical Receptionist roles at Personal Women’s Healthcare in Elk Grove Village, IL, Alexian Brothers Medical Center in Elk Grove Village, IL, and Rockford Orthopedic Associates. Jami studied at John Wood Community College in Quincy, IL.

In her spare time, Jami volunteers for the Special Olympics of Illinois. She is a member of Poplar Grove Methodist Church and enjoys spending time with her family.

Kina is a surgery scheduler for Dr. Roh. She joined Rockford Spine center in 2003 and has 26 years of medical field experience. In this role, Kina is responsible for making all of the arrangements for upcoming surgeries including obtaining preauthorization from insurance companies, verifying patient eligibility and coverage, discussing pre-operative instructions with patients, and scheduling all tests and operating room time according to physician protocols.

Prior to joining Rockford Spine Center, Kina was a supervisor in the emergency department at Rockford Health System. She is working towards an associate’s degree in liberal arts from Rock Valley College.

Melissa is a surgery scheduler for Dr. Sweet. She joined Rockford Spine center in May 2008 and has 17 years of experience. In this role, Melissa is responsible for making all of the arrangements for upcoming surgeries including obtaining preauthorization from insurance companies, verifying patient eligibility and coverage, discussing pre-operative instructions with patients, and scheduling all tests and operating room time according to physician protocols.

Prior to joining Rockford Spine Center, Melissa worked as a surgery scheduler for five surgeons at Orthopedic Associates of Northern Illinois. She also worked at Rockford Health Physicians and Dr. Richard Coppoletti’s office.

In her spare time, Melissa is involved with her church choir and volunteers with a local school as the Assistant Cheerleading Coach. Additionally, she is co-founder of In The Name of Jesus Outreach Ministries, serving the Rockford and Chicago area inner city communities. Melissa and her husband have five children and seven grandchildren.
