Bonnie

Bonnie is a Registered Nurse with Rockford Spine Center and has 19 years of nursing experience. She joined the team in February 2009 and works primarily with Dr. Christopher Sliva. In this role, Bonnie is responsible for managing Dr. Sliva’s clinic, coordinating patient care, educating and preparing patients for tests and procedures and acting as a liaison between the physician and patient. Prior to joining Rockford Spine Center, Bonnie worked as an RN at SwedishAmerican Hospital in the orthopedics and cardiac units. She also worked at Rockford Cardiology Associates, SwedishAmerican Brookside Clinic and OSF St. Anthony Medical Center. Bonnie graduated from the Kishwaukee College Nursing Program and regularly takes continuing education courses on-line. Bonnie says she has always wanted to be a nurse and enjoys taking care of people. “Knowing I can make a difference in someone’s life even if it is just listening to them, giving a hug, or lessening their fears is what inspires me to do this job.” In her spare time, Bonnie spends time with her husband and two teenage boys. She is active in her church, helps out with the Stillman Valley High School booster club and is a member of AORN. |
Camille

Camille is a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with Rockford Spine Center. She joined the team in June 2004 and has 24 years of experience. She works primarily with Dr. Jeffrey Behr and assists with Dr. Sweet’s patients. In this role, Camille is responsible for managing Dr. Behr’s clinic, coordinating patient care, educating and preparing patients for tests and procedures and acting as a liaison between the physician and patient. Prior to joining Rockford Spine Center, Camille worked as Dr. Behr’s nurse for 20 years at another orthopedic practice. She has also previously held positions as a surgical floor nurse at Rockford Memorial Hospital and an office nurse for a group of Neurosurgeons. She earned her LPN degree from the Rockford School of Practical Nursing. Camille became a nurse because she has a love of people and the profession. She enjoys being the patient advocate and educating the patient on their condition. “It is very rewarding to realize you made a difference in someone’s life even if it is just holding their hand for a few moments.” In her spare time, Camille plays bass guitar, guitar, piano and sings in a band with her husband and daughter. She also enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren. |
Jaime

Jaime is a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with Rockford Spine Center. She joined the team in 2003 and has 12 years of medical field experience. She works primarily with Dr. Fred Sweet. In this role, Jaime is responsible for managing Dr. Sweet’s clinic, coordinating patient care, educating and preparing patients for tests and procedures and acting as a liaison between the physician and patient. Prior to joining Rockford Spine Center, Jaime worked as Dr. Sweet’s nurse at Rockford Orthopedic Associates. She earned her LPN degree from the Highland Community College Nursing Program. Jaime became a nurse because she enjoys helping people and making them feel more comfortable during difficult times. “It is truly rewarding knowing you can be a part of making a difference in someone’s life.” |
Lana

Lana is a Registered Nurse with Rockford Spine Center and has 34 years of nursing experience. She works primarily with Dr. Michael Roh. In this role, Lana is responsible for managing Dr. Roh’s clinic, coordinating patient care, educating and preparing patients for tests and procedures and acting as a liaison between the physician and patient. Prior to joining Rockford Spine Center, Lana was Dr. Roh’s nurse at Rockford Orthopedic Associates. She previously held nursing positions at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL, Carthage Memorial Hospital, and for a primary care doctor in Hamilton, IL. Additionally, Lana worked in the adult hand and upper extremity division of the Orthopedic Department at Southern Illinois School of Medicine in Springfield, IL. She also spent some time in the Pediatric Orthopedic Department at the school of medicine. She then worked for 14 years for an adult reconstruction Orthopedic Surgeon as his nurse and surgical first assistant. Lana earned her nursing degree from Blessing School of Nursing in Quincy, IL. Lana became a nurse because she always had a fascination with medicine and wanted to be involved in direct care of not only the patient, but also their family. “I have always seen the surgical experience to be a life event that touches the patient not only physically, but emotionally and socially.” Lana lives in Roscoe with her husband of 30 years and their two children. In her spare time she enjoys making one-of-a-kind jewelry and other artistic pieces, and she is an avid fiction reader. She is also an active member in St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church in Rockton, where she is involved in social ministry and the development of the children’s ministry. |
