Casey

Casey

Casey is a Registered Nurse who joined The Spine Center at OrthoIllinois in 2015, working with Dr. Michael Roh and Matt Schwabero, PA-C.  She holds a B.S.N. from Saint Anthony College of Nursing and a B.S. in marketing from Northern Illinois University.  Before joining RSC, she worked at Rockford Memorial Hospital on the Post-Surgical Unit for nearly five years, caring for spine, orthopedic, and trauma patients after surgery. 

Casey chose a career in nursing because she wanted to do something rewarding with her life.  She feels it’s very satisfying to able to help those in need and make a difference in their lives at the same time.

Casey is responsible for managing Dr. Roh's clinic and coordinating patient care.  She helps to educate and prepare patients for surgery, guides patients through their post-op recovery, and serves as a liaison between Dr. Roh and his patients to ensure they receive exceptional care. 

Casey is married with two children and loves spending time with family and friends.  She enjoys boating with her family; riding motorcycles with her husband; cooking, exercising, and traveling when time permits.  She also enjoys participating in 5K runs and obstacle course races to benefit various charities and organizations.

Jaime

Jaime

Jaime is a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with The Spine Center at OrthoIllinois. She joined the team in 2003 and has 15 years of medical field experience. She workswith Dr. Fred Sweet. In this role, Jaime is responsible for managing Dr. Sweet’s clinic, coordinating patient care, educating and preparing patients for tests and procedures and acting as a liaison between the physician and patient.

Prior to joining The Spine Center at OrthoIllinois, Jaime worked as Dr. Sweet’s nurse at Rockford Orthopedic Associates. She earned her LPN degree from the Highland Community College Nursing Program.

Jaime became a nurse because she enjoys helping people and making them feel more comfortable during difficult times. “It is truly rewarding knowing you can be a part of making a difference in someone’s life.”

Active in the community, Jaime is involved in the Curvy Girls Scoliosis Support Group and assists the physicians with providing charitable care at the Walter Lawson’s Children Home, Rebound Pediatric Clinic. The team provides free exams and services to the children once a month.

Megan

Megan

Megan was raised in Kansas City, Mo. and attended the University of Missouri-Columbia (Mizzou), earning a B.S. in nursing and a minor in psychology.  Megan was drawn to nursing because she enjoys educating people to make an impact in their overall health. She sees a great personal reward in aiding people through a difficult, tumultuous time. 

After graduating, she worked at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City as a cardiothoracic operating room nurse before relocating to Rockford in 2011.  Prior to joining RSC, Megan worked at SwedishAmerican Hospital in the operating room, gaining a variety of experience and specializing in cardiac surgery and neurosurgery. She is a Certified Nurse-Operating Room (CNOR). 

At RSC, Megan works with Dr. Sliva and Brad Wolf, PA-C.  She is responsible for managing and coordinating clinic services as well as care delivered to patients. Megan works to educate and prepare patients for surgery and acts as a liaison between Dr. Sliva and the patient to ensure they receive the best care possible. 

When she is not practicing nursing, Megan spends time with her husband, daughter, and various family and friends.  She enjoys traveling, shopping, and watching sports, especially the Mizzou Tigers, Chicago Bears, and Chicago Blackhawks.
