Cindy is a Medical Assistant for Dr. Walker. She has 15 years of experience, and is a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) and Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (LPTA). Cindy joined Rockford Spine Center in 2004. She is responsible for managing Dr. Walker’s clinic, coordinating patient care, educating and preparing patients for tests and procedures, assisting in conducting EMG/NCS, and acting as a liaison between the physician and patient.

Prior to joining Rockford Spine Center, Cindy worked at Bethesda North Hospital in Montgomery, OH, Rockford Memorial Hospital, and OSF St. Anthony Medical Center, as an LPTA. In addition, she worked as an Athletic Trainer in high school and club athletics. Cindy earned a Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from Rockford College. She also earned an Associate’s degree from Southern Illinois University to become a Physical Therapist Assistant.

Cindy says she chose this career because she has always had a strong interest in the sciences. “I enjoy assessing injuries, and helping patients overcome physical obstacles and injuries. I am a people person and enjoy the clinic setting, with the patient interaction it allows.”

Cindy is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association. She is a founding member of Heartland Community Church, and an active volunteer in many aspects of the organization. In her spare time she enjoys athletics, traveling, reading, and spending time with her family and friends.

Justine is Dr. Roh’s Medical Assistant. She joined Rockford Spine Center in February of 2008 and has three years of medical experience. In this role she is responsible for preparing patients to see Dr. Roh, facilitating lab tests and paperwork, and assisting the nurse with clinical duties.

Justine earned her Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification through Rock Valley College. Prior to joining Rockford Spine Center, she worked as a CNA for a local nursing home.

In her spare time Justine enjoys reading, taking her dog Stella for walks, swimming, shopping, and spending time with her family and friends.

Tonya is Dr. Sliva’s Medical Assistant. She joined Rockford Spine Center in March of 2006 and has 11 years of medical experience. In this role she is responsible for preparing patients to see Dr. Sliva, facilitating lab tests and paperwork, and assisting the nurse with clinical duties.

Prior to joining Rockford Spine Center Tonya worked in an obstetrics and gynecology office. She studied at Allied Medical College in St. Louis, MO. Additionally, she holds a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification.

Tonya and her husband have three sons. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and shopping.
